PILLOW CASES: A couple of Shirts can be made to accommodate a standard pillow.
CUSTOM OPTIONS: If you have an idea or items that are a little quirky or out of the ordinary, I will be happy to discuss options to put them into a special keepsake. We can use just about anything on your quilt. Let’s Talk!.
WHAT SIZE DO YOU WANT YOURE QUILT?
- Sizes may vary, so finished quilt sizes are different. Some blocks could be 12” other’s 18”. This may also affect the finished size of your quilt.
- Quilts are limited to number that works with the design chosen and block size used. Let’s talk to determine what you have and how to proceed.
- Many companies have a certain size that they cut your quilt blocks. Often cutting off partial t-shirt designs and leaves you with a quilt block looking like it was a mistake. I take the largest imprint of the shirts provided and trim to accommodate. If that is not possible, I will call to discuss further options with you.
KEEP IN MIND
- I have done some King size quilts and frankly they are too heavy, bulky and how do you plan on washing it if you choose to? That being said, anything larger than 105”, I would suggest to make two quilts instead. So, let’s talk.
- Adding charms, badges, pins or photos to your quilt will make them extra “special” quilts with these touches are not recommended to be washed unless the items are sewn on.
- Photo transfers can be washed but not made for repeated washings.
PREPARING YOUR T-SHIRTS
- All T-shirts etc. must be PREWASHED.
- Free of smoke, odors and pet hair. Note: I will return anything that may smell of smoke or excessive pet hair.
- DO NOT CUT apart your t-shirts; Send all shirts complete. I will do this to accommodate your design or choice of quilt.
- If there is multiple graphics on the shirt and you do not want to use them all, mark with a safety pin or painters tape the one(s) you want to use. Otherwise, I will strive to use them all.
PRICING OPTIONS ON YOUR KEEPSAKE QUILT
- We can’t give you an exact number because all T-shirts quilts are different before options are discussed.
- The number of t-shirts you will need depends on graphic size, number of graphics per shirt, types of graphics etc.
- Amount of t-shirts used may vary depending on the style chosen for the quilt.
PRICING INCLUDES:
- Cutting, lay-out and sewing of shirts.
- 1 layer of batting-Quilters Dream Poly Puff or Quilters Dream 80/20.
- Cotton backing fabric-from my selection.
Other fabrics are available, and up charge will be determined by fabric selected.
- Thread color choices: White, Grey, Off White, Gold, Black or Navy Call for other thread colors available.
- Binding quilt.
- Long Arm Machine quilted. To be determined as needed by designer/discussion. Specialty quilting requests available and prices accordingly.

Note: I use a method without interfacing each block. It provides a softer quilt and holds up well because of the quilting. I use interfacing on blocks that are thin or need stabilized.
