My Story
Cathy is an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser, quilt historian and a member of several national/regional quilt and fabric study groups. Cathy has spoken nationally about polyester, hexagons, history of fabrics, crazy quilts and inscribed quilts. She has conducted workshops on modern crazy quilts and beginning quilting skills. Cathy has been a historical re-enactor specializing in women’s studies and quilt history.
Cathy is the owner of Prairie Quiltings LLC. She is available for quilt appraisals at events/shows or individually as requested. Cathy also provides long arm quilting services, custom quilts/memory quilts with t-shirts. She also sells vintage trims/textiles, crazy quilting and sewing supplies. As a quilt artist, Cathy has over 40 years of quilting knowledge and experience.
